A Big Dream
Oh my goodness! I started this layout with a grand vision. I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like. Then I made this background, and I ditched the whole thing for a while, because I hated how it turned out and it just didn’t feel right.
Maybe because I was inspired by the amazing Missy Whidden. And everything she creates is pretty much perfect. I even deleted the video of myself making the background because I decided it would never show it’s face in public. (Facepalm)
But then inspiration struck, I dug it back out, and I created this layout. Thankfully, I decided to turn the camera on! You can find the video here.
Sometimes it just works. Finally. LOL. I created the circles by laying strips of washi on a piece of cardstock and then cutting out a variety of circles. I matted the photos and used a few bits of patterned paper from the original Jen Hadfield collection by Pebbles. SO excited to dig into so many older supplies!
In the end, only the area AROUND the brick stencil I used ended up showing. How funny, as that is the part I hated at the beginning.
Most the embellishments I used are from the Cool Kid collection by Crate Paper. I pulled those out once I realized how the color scheme was coming together. They just seemed to work so well!
